Nov 13: The innocence and beauty have no enemy but time, which has been encrypted well in the lyrics and music of the title song Taare Zameen Par, with vocals of Shankar Mahadevan backed up by chorus of Dominique Cerejo and Vivienne Pocha. The song has come out stupendously, soothing and slowly going deep in the nerves.

It is said that painter paints in canvas while musician paints in silence, this holds true to the song whose lyrics are penned by Prasoon Joshi who with a bit of insecurity has tried to bring out all the pleasure watching a child gargle, sleep and crawl which surely can flash a hope in a troubled life.

Bum Bum Bole sang by Shaan, with a touch of naughtiness in his voice has done justice to the restlessness of children, who seem to be on mission to discover this world in their own way.

Maa is the score with slow beats but a child’s own perception that mother tends to know everything, the queries which remain stitched in their throat has come out beautifully. Reflection of a child’s own sensitivity and insecurity is hummed beautifully by Shankar Mahadevan, and has given weight to the feelings that mother is the centre of their world.

Idiot,Duffer,Lazy, Crazy..Kya hai problem..kyun tera bheja kam is going to be popular among children in schools with all the queries pointed to miserable student, who are no home works and getting always anda types, surely going to be more pleasurable to eyes than ears.

Jame Raho sung by Vishal Dadlaani singing the new breed of students who are future, with vivid interest lost in their own world, ready to paint their own skyscrapers, they are ready to take this world with their inquisitive sight.

Mera Jahaan composed by Shailendra Barve Akela Nahin Main..Khuli Aankhon Se Neend Mein Chalta..Girta Zyada Kam Sambhalta,Akela Nahin Main,Khuli Aankhon Se Neend Mein Chalta,Girta Zyada Kam Sambhalta,Phir Bhi Na Koi ShaqNa Subha Nikalega Phir Se Sooraj Jo Dooba….sung by Adnan sami with chorus of Gleehive lifts your soul to unknown journey, a child has his fairy granny in his soul, knitting the nuances of life and teaching the innocence of his universe. It’s really beautiful!

Kholo Kholo with the strings of electric guitar strumming the inner soul, with the voice of Raman Mahadevan has a promise that reminds me of Jonathan Livingstone seagull by Rudyard Back, who teaches us to spread our wings to take the flight.

The soulful instrumental titled Ishaans is again a mesmerising journey where “The silence often of pure innocence persuades when speaking fails”. A melodious symphony altogether!

The music of TZP was launched by Shammi Kapoor, the legendary actor with all his blessings to this Aamir Khan’s master stoke, Shankar –Ehsaan-Loy the trio who has given meaning to the scores as music directors. Lyrics of Prasoon Joshi, who can send electrifying signals through his pen has been able to replicate his earlier feat.

The vocals of Shankar Mahadevan, Bugs Bhargava, Vivinenne Pocha, Raman Mahadevan, Shaan, Aamir Khan, Vishal Dadlani, Shankar Sachdev, Raaj Gopal Iyer, Ravi Khanwilkar, Loy Mendonca, Amole Gupte, Kiran Rao, Ram Madhvani, Adnan Sami, Auriel Cordo, Ananya Wadkar are mesmerising.

With the tracks like this you can reinvent the journey…a backward journey..to your childhood days, and I am sure nothing can be more pleasurable than this.

superbly written!prasoon joshi's name only compelled me to look for tzp's music review n i don't think there is a better way to applaud it as u have done.i am a big fan of him.his 'khoon chala'of rang de basanti n very less known creation bt magnificent attempt to give voice to the feelings of deaf, dumb n blind mitchell of bansali's black 'han maine chhuker dekha hai' r thought provoking.same is here specially the title song.
