Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart enjoy 'island getaway'

New York, Jan 7 (ANI): Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart celebrated New Year's at Ventnor, a seaside resort on an island off the coast of England and ended up drawing a huge crowd.

However, the 'Twilight' couple had to escape before local fans could mob them.

According to reports, Pattinson, 23, and Stewart, 19, posed for photos with a young female fan outside a grocery store on New Year's Eve and then retreated to their hideout on the Isle of Wight, 80 miles south of London.

And when the pics hit a local blog, fans crowded the island in search of the alleged couple, reports People.

"All the young girls have been trying to find him. They have been out on a hunt," the New York Daily News quoted store manager Jez Harmer as saying.

But the hunt ended in disappointment for the young fans, as the couple apparently vanished.

"It's literally a mystery," said Harmer, referring to the celebrity couple's whereabouts. (ANI)
