Flower named after Lilly Allen
Washington, Nov 23 (ANI): British songbird Lily Allen can now boast of a flower named after her.
The 24-year-old hitmaker was presented with her own lily by Manchester's Key 103 radio station and the British Horticultural Society.
Allen was asked to choose the colour she wanted the Lily Allen lily to be and the Smile singer selected orange because it reminded her of her late grandma.
"That's amazing. I think the orange, you know why? Because my late nan died last year. She gave me a mug like a few years ago and it was this tea cup that she kept forever and she finally gave me the responsibility of taking it away. She was like, 'Oh, you can have it'," Contactmusic quoted Allen, as saying.
"Literally five minutes after I got out the taxi I dropped it on the floor and it was that colour (orange) lily and for that reason I'll have that one. That's a really amazing present." (ANI)
