Canadian PM meets S M Krishna and Advani
New Delhi, Nov 17 (ANI): Canadian Prime Minister (PM), Stephen Harper met Foreign Minister S M Krishna and senior Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani here today.
Earlier on Monday, Harper addressed delegates and media persons in Mumbai.
The Canadian Prime Minister has come here on a mission to strengthen the bilateral economic relations.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who has been announced to be the torchbearer of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver by the Canadian PM, greeted him upon his arrival.
Harper will also meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari later in the day.
In the last year, Canada had carried out 11 ministerial level visits to India.
Canada has also opened three new trade offices in Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. (ANI)
