The consultations with legal experts are going on to find a way out of the current situation.
Meanwhile H D Kumaraswamy is busy preventing his MLAs from defecting from his party, demanding individual letter of support. This is to be known that senior JD (S) leader M P Prakash is not following party lines currently and is not in favor of BJP-JD (S) alliance again working out as he considers it as a stand against the one held some months ago by Kumaraswamy. He is in favor of joining congress and not going back to BJP.
After settling disputes with BJP even JD (S) is worried that congress which intends to block every path to power by BJP-JD (S) alliance may exploit the situation created by its senior leader M P Prakash so very careful about guarding its supporters. As a consequence party has asked its MLAs to submit individual letters of support.
In 224 members assembly BJP has the support of the largest number of members around 80 while JD (S) has been able to secure the support of 40 MLAs.
Despite the majority of the members supporting the BJP-JD (S) alliance governor has not given signal of not dissolving the assembly due to the letter requesting the same by Gowda.
In face of uncertainty of the move by the governor the alliance has decided to take their supporters to the Raj Bhavan on Monday. During all this development senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha who is in charge of the party affairs of Karnataka had a meeting with the governor and requested to call BJP-JD (S) alliance to form the government as they enjoy the majority.
Governor of the state is expected to send the report to the president and the home minister on Monday itself on the political situation of Karnataka.
