London, October 10 (ANI): Renowned Indian environmentalist Vandana Shiva and music mogul A.R. Rahman are set to become a part of a global performance from the International Space Station (ISS).

Circus entrepreneur Guy Laliberte will host the two-hour show to emphasise on global water shortages.

The founder of the Cirque de Soleil theatre company is teaming up actors, artists, politicians, and activists from 14 countries including India, South Africa, and Australia for the event, reports the BBC.

The "Poetic Social Mission" will see each participant reading a section of a poem, stressing the need for everyone to have access to clean water, followed by a musical or artistic performance.

Shiva will narrate a section that will be followed by a video recording of a performance by Rahman in Mumbai.

The show will be aired live on the website of Laliberte's water charity 'One Drop'. (ANI)
