BSF greets Pakistani Rangers on occasion of Pak Independence Day
Wagah, Aug. 14 (ANI): Indian and Pakistani border guards stationed at the Wagah border checkpost exchanged sweets and congratulated each other on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of Pakistan's Independence Day on Friday.
Mohammad Yaqub, Director-General, Pakistan Rangers, and other officials came to the zero line and handed over sweets to Mohammad Akil, DIG BSF.

"We accepted sweets from Pakistan and greeted them on their 62nd Independence Day and tomorrow we would exchanges greetings with Pakistan on India's Independence Day, said Akil.
India and Pakistan won the freedom from the British at midnight of August 14 and 15, 1947 respectively. Pakistan celebrates its Independence Day anniversary on August 14, while India marks it a day later. By Ravinder Singh Robin (ANI)
