Salman refuses to be part of Madame Tussauds museum

Oct 03 : Bollywood heart throb, Salman Khan and the king of controversies was all set to enter the Madame Tussauds Museum in London. But as per the latest report he has turned down the offer.

Salman was picked up among the bunch of celebrities including Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Kajol and John Abraham. After finalising the name, the celebrity gets offer latter followed by a team of experts to get the measurement.

They choose the personalities according to their popularity and a team of experts take the minutest detail of the person so that accuracy can be seen in the final outcome.

Amitabh, Aishwarya and Shahrukh are the other Bollywood Stars to have been immortalized in Madam Tussads museum.

Presence of these stars tells the increasing popularity and world wide recognition they get across the world. Amitabh got the statue installed after he was voted as the Millennium Actor and Aishwarya, who is a well recognized face and is appreciated for her beauty and grace all over the world. Shahrukh is the new entrant in the museum few months back and is soaring in popularity chart.

Daniel Redcliff, who is well known to be fitted in the skin of Harry Potter, became the youngest actor to enter the museum.

Marie Tussads took the step to immortalize the public figures, film stars, sport stars, royal figures and the famous criminals.

Marie, who was a sculptor set up the wax museum in London .The museum, has several other branches in other major cities of the world.

Tussaud created her first wax figure, of Francois Marie Arouet de Voltaire, in 1777. In 1802, she went to London. As a result of the Franco-English war, she was unable to return to France, so she travelled throughout Great Britain and Ireland exhibiting her collection. For a time, it was displayed at the Lyceum Theatre. She established her first permanent exhibition on Baker Street in London in 1835.

Some of the statue made by Marie still exists in the museum. In 1842 she made her own portrait which is on the display at the entrance of the museum.

It is one of the major tourist attractions in London. Its branches are located in Amsterdam, Las Vegas, New York City, Hong Kong and Sanghai .The Cities like Hollywood and Washington will too get the museum in the heart of these cities.
