Sep 27: Political crisis begins in Karnataka as Janta Dal (Secular) supremo HD Deve Gowda has suddenly called off his meeting with top BJP leaders in Delhi and returned to Bangalore on Thursday morning. He was reportedly annoyed with the accusation charge drafted by BJP leader and Karnataka Tourism Minister Sriramalu against present Karnataka Chief Minister and son of Deve Gowda, H D Kumaraswamy, for attempt to get him killed.

The meeting had scheduled to handover the power to BJP as per the agreement held between the BJP and JD(S) on February 2006. Now it’s the turn of BJP to rule over Karnataka from Oct 03.

JD(S) supreme and former prime minister visited Delhi for beginning crucial talks over powershift but due to the accusation he called of the meeting and return to homeland today morning. It is now been assumed that JD(S) would not hand over of power to the BJP in Karnataka, as the sources tell.

His meeting was scheduled taken place with top BJP leaders including BJP chief Rajnath Singh and party leader and in-charge of Karnataka Yashwant Sinha.

"It is true that I was supposed to meet top BJP leaders in Delhi today. But the conduct of the coalition partner has forced me to cancel my meetings," Gowda informed to the media.

On asking over power transfer, Gowda said, "I won’t say anything on the transfer of power today. Top BJP leaders should take note of the rift between us. How can I discuss the transfer of power?"

BJP is still hoping to be get solve the problem while its top leaders are also ready to confront the situation of power demolition. "If the transfer is not smooth, BJP would prefer to call off the alliance rather than give in to JD(S) demands," said a senior party leader.

The situation gets worse when BJP splits over selection of the leader as former central minister Ananth Kumar wants to make head of command to Deputy CM S Yediyurappa for the next 20 years.

It is assuming that an angle can also be developed viewing the current political situation when JD(S) might ask Congress to get tied the knot with it. This may be beneficial for the JD(S) in terms of restoring the Congress (I) its "secular" credentials after a fling with the BJP. However, Congress has not take interest in this regard.
