Celina Jaitley is an Indian actress and former Femina Miss India Universe. This actress has acted in various bollywood and regional films. Hails from an army background, she was born in Kabul, Afghanistan to Indian army colonel V.K. Jaitley and Meeta, an Afghan Hindu and a nurse in the Indian army. Initially she aspired to join army as a doctor or pilot but destiny had other plans for her. His brother also serves the Indian army. Due to transferable nature of her fathers job Celina had to study in over a dozen of schools in different cities hence she got good exposure. She spent most of her schooling days in UP and Orissa. The family also spent some time in Kolkata where her father was posted during her college days. She has done a degree in commerce from Indira Gandhi National Open University.

She participated in miss India contest 2001where she won the title of Femina Miss India Universe 2001. As a result she was sent to Miss Universe 2001 contest to represent India where she made to the top five.

Her success in the Miss India contest opened the door of bollywood for her. She made her bollywood debut in 2003 with Feroz Khan directed movie Janasheen. She has also worked in an international movie named "Love Has No Language." No entry is her commercially successful movie. This beautiful actress has worked in over a dozens of films. She has also supported gay rights movement in India.

She has recently (2011) tied knots with Peter Haag.
