Even before the Nokia Lumia 900 is launched in the market, its comparison to other smartphones has already started. And its biggest competitor is said to be Samsung Galaxy SII.

Lets begin with the display. Both Nokia Lumia 900 and Samsung Galaxy SII have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED plus capacitive touch screen display, which are made of Corning Gorilla Glass. They both respond to multi-touch.
While Samsung Galaxy SII works on Android Operating System v-2.3 (Gingerbread), which also can be upgraded, to version-4.0, Nokia Lumia 900 will be working on Microsoft Windows 7.5-Mango operating system.
Nokia Lumia 900 will have an inbuilt Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon chipset while Galaxy SII has an Exynos chipset. 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor will power Nokia Lumia 900 while Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 powers Galaxy SII.
Both have an 8MP front camera with auto focus. The only difference is that Lumia 900 will have a dual LED flashlight while Galaxy SII has a single LED flashlight. However, Galaxy SII has an advantage over Lumia 900 when it comes to video recording as it can record video at 1080p@30fps while Lumia 900 will record at 720p@30fps.
Both have Wi-Fi 802.11 and Wi-Fi hotspot facility. But Galaxy SII comes with a Bluetooth 3.0-version while Lumia 900 will have a Bluetooth 2.1-version.
Both have a USB v 2.0 port and a 3.5 mm jack. They also have GPRS, EDGE, and HSPA+, 2-G and 3-G support. But Lumia 900 is a clear winner here with 4-G LTE technology to be engraved with it.
Galaxy SII is available in both 16GB and 32GB internal storage while Lumia 900 will only be available in 16GB internal storage. Galaxy SII will also have an external card slot. On the other hand, Lumia 900 does not possess one.
Lumia 900 will have an inbuilt 512 MB RAM while Galaxy SII has a 1 GB RAM. Both have the Geo tagging and sensor facility.
Nokia Lumia is said to be the first 4-G smart phone to have such a long battery back up. It will come out with a standard li-Ion 1830 mAh battery. While Galaxy SII comes with a standard Li-Ion 1650 mAh battery.
Both have a price tag of around 30,000 bucks.
There are few flaws and wins in both Galaxy SII and Nokia Lumia 900 over each other when compared. Eventually, it all boils down to the requirements and preferences of the end-user.
