Kamala Das is the voice of Feminism. Her voice is the voice of feminism. Each fragment of her poetry is grasped with the thought of femininity. She represents the large area that woman works. She stands as the revolt against male dominance over female. She revolutionizes the demands, the rights, advantages and the privileges that a woman must get but is deprived due to the overweening activities of men and their dominance over female.

Kamala Das was born in 1934 in Indian state of Kerala and is both an English as well as Malayalam writer. Kamala Das is vested with a lot of novel and drastic qualities that construct her as one of the voice of femininity in her literary works.

Das is mainly a writer may not be prolific but an unprecedented writer who has taken many themes in to consideration while reserved in writing. In spite of Feminism, the catholicity of range of Das comprises love, anguish, betrayal and various other aesthetic themes. One of the most open qualities of Mrs Kamala Das is the frank discussion of sex, immorality and physical passion that man cannot escape.

Summer in Calcutta is the best-known collection of poems by Das and in Malayalam she has published a large numbers of excellent poem collections. She is also much known for her stories that portray the day-to-day life of men.

The poems of Kamala Das depict human emotion, lust, feelings and temperaments realistically and maintain originality in style and text. For this writing Kamala Das has been awarded with Asian poetry prize, Sahitya Academy award and many more.
