Here Hamida Banu Begam, also known as Haji Begam, the widow of emperor Humayun built this one of the finest Mughal style Persian inspired structure after the death of her husband. Humayun's Tomb Delhi is not that publicized that does not reduce the love of the Begam for her husband.

The queen spent an estimated fifteen lakh rupees to make this grand tomb and complex to fit stature of Humayun. This magnificent structure still stands tall in the serene locale of Nizamuddin in South Delhi.

Stunningly situated amidst a garden, the red sandstone grand edifice is a tourists' favorite. One any day you can see a large number of tourists stealing a glance of this architectural magnum opus called Humayun's Tomb.
