New Delhi, June 1 (ANI): The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, will preside over special meeting of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) here today.
It will review issues related to preparedness for nuclear disaster, earthquake, Tsunami and recommend measures needed to strengthen existing mechanism.
The meeting will be attended by the officials of the NDMA, Atomic Energy Regulation Board, the Department of Atomic Energy and other concerned agencies.
According to sources, the NDMA will present a nationwide exercise calendar to prepare, at various levels, for major disaster such as radiation leaks, earthquake or terrorist attacks. (ANI)
