Everonn launches IT based education at Gandhiniketan Ashram school

Everonn Systems India Limited, a leading education and training company, launched today a pilot program to bring education through computer aided learning program in Gandhiniketan Ashram School at T.Kallupatti, Madurai District in Tamilnadu by Former President of India, His Excellency Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. This Corporate Social Responsibility initiative from Everonn is driven with a vision to serve the rural India.

At a function here today on the Centenary celebrations of G.Venkatachalapathy at Gandhineketan Ashram, His Excellency Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India launched the Interactive Curriculum support Computer aided learning program. Mr R.Kannan, Director, Everonn Systems India Limited, Dr. Tapan K.Panda, President, Marketing & Corporate Affairs, Everonn Systems India Limited, Prof. R.Venkatasamy, President of Gandhiniketan Ashram and other Ashram dignitaries presided over the event.

Everonn will offer a superior quality digitalised content for students with numerous visuals and animation and other interactive tools. This will facilitate better understanding of the subjects and improve learning / retention capacity amongst students. In addition, the teachers will be trained to use of computers for teaching.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.R.Kannan, Director, Everonn Systems India Limited thanked Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam for inaugurating Everonn’s initiative for providing better education to children in rural areas.

Mr. R. Kannan said, “As a Corporate citizen we have a belief that Corporate can play a great role in bringing change. We started this initiative at Everonn through which we intend to integrate 1000 schools in rural areas through our own initiatives and also corporate sponsorships and provide them IT infrastructure, good quality content and also an interactive medium for enhancing their learning.”

St. Joseph High School of Pavunjur village, Kancheepuram District of Tamilnadu is also a beneficiary of Everonn’s CSR initiative. Everonn, as a national lead player in technology enabled learning will pursue and achieve its CSR through the extensive use of Information Technology, while optimizing its reach through its large network - physical and virtual, pan India.

About Gandhiniketan Ashram School

In 1946, Gandhiji blessed two teachers of the Ashram, trained in Gandhian System of education and the Ashram started a primary school with their help to translate the Gandhian vision of education into a reality and thus promoted a significant experiment in the field of basic education to the local context and to provide opportunities for students for learning not only in the classroom but also in the worksheds, farms and community.
