Man City's Micah 'yawns' at Man U's perpetual victories

London , Fri, 27 Apr 2012 ANI

London, Apr 27 (ANI): Manchester City defender Micah Richards has admitted that he is bored with their rival club Manchester United taking all the glory, and is now on a mission to make sure his club wins all of the subsequent matches.

The Manchester Derby for the title-match of the Premier League is scheduled for Monday.

Micah, 23, who joined the Blues team of Manchester City as a teenager, claimed that he was "forced to watch United win silverware for fun."

Manchester United has landed with more titles than any other club, including two Champions League triumphs, along with the FA and League Cup wins. And the club's relentless success has coincided with years of failure by City.

"Because United have always been better than us just makes it a bit more special. I've played against them since I was part of the under-14s and they've always been better at every level. We're not quite there yet, but we're slowly but surely catching up," the England star expressed.

Richard revealed that it was "amazing" to see how far the club has come in such a short time.

"The players who have just come in, didn't really know what the derby in Manchester was all about. But, they're getting it now," he added. (ANI)
