Leave Mario alone, says sis

London, Fri, 27 Apr 2012 ANI

London, Apr 27 (ANI): Mario Balotelli's secret sister Abigail Barwuah is apparently bemused by Man City star's bad-boy reputation.

Leaping to her brother's defence, Barwuah asserted that she is exasperated with Balotelli being criticised for his behaviour, flash cars and fashion sense.

"Leave Mario alone! He's only a young, good-looking boy having fun. So he misbehaves and likes gorgeous women - good for him!" the Sun quoted Barwuah as saying.

"He's only a young lad. I feel sorry for him. I don't think people there understand him. He is a young guy, he earns a lot, he is fun-loving and he's just enjoying himself.

"Look, he's only 21. Why shouldn't he buy nice cars, nice clothes. What young guy earning a lot of money wouldn't?"

The 24-year-old is not even bothered about revelations that Balotelli had bedded escort girl Jenny Thompson, who had a threesome with Wayne Rooney.

"This is normal in Italy! Half the men in this town hop over the border to Switzerland, where prostitution is legal. Doctors, businessmen, husbands. You can find them all in the brothels there. They are just enjoying themselves. It's not a big deal." Barwuah said.

"When I read about this Jenny girl and Mario I didn't get upset. She's a pretty girl - why shouldn't he sleep with her? I think these girls target him because he is rich and famous. That's the only thing that upsets me about it.

"I don't like some of the girls who go after him. He needs to be careful sometimes. He is a target. I hope he didn't pay her. He doesn't need to. He can get plenty of girls," she added.

Barwuah is Balotelli's real sister. The footballer was born to Ghanaian immigrants Rose and Thomas Barwuah, in Palermo, Sicily.

They gave him up for adoption when he was three-year-old. (ANI)
