New Delhi, April 10 (IANS) External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna is visiting Moscow for a trilateral meet Friday with his Russian and Chinese counterparts to discuss "regional and global issues" and ways to strengthen ties.

"The three foreign ministers will exchange views on current regional and global issues. This is the seventh IRC foreign ministers' meeting, with the last two held in Wuhan in China in 2010 and Banglalore in 2009.

The Friday meeting is taking place close on the heels of the fourth BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit in New Delhi last week which was attended by the three ministers.

"This meeting will, inter-alia, help reinforce the goodwill and trust among the three countries as witnessed during the New Delhi summit," the statement said.

Krishna will also be co-chairing events later Friday, being organised to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Russia.
