Jammu And Kashmir,Indo-Pak/Pakistan,Kashmir, Sat, 07 Apr 2012 IANS

Jammu, April 7 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Saturday said sustained dialogue between India and Pakistan was the only way to resolve all issues between the two neighbours.

Welcoming the meeting between Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Delhi April 8, Omar Abdullah said: 'We want a continuous dialogue process between the two neighbours to address problems and find out solutions.'

Talking to media persons on the sidelines of a 'World Health Day' function here, Omar Abdullah noted: 'We would also like that Jammu and Kashmir-centric CBMs (Confidence Building Measures) like cross-LoC (Line of Control) Bus Service and trade matters be discussed apart from other ongoing issues. We would like that the rehabilitation policy for return of youth from PoK (Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir) and cross-LoC infiltration also come up for talks so that benefits trickle to the state.'

'We are in favour of sustained dialogue in an amicable atmosphere to address all bigger and smaller issues,' he said.

The chief minister said the visit of union Home Minister P. Chidambaram to the state April 10 was a routine one. He said issues relating to the security scenario, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), Interlocutors' report, reduction of forces, among others, would come up during the talks with the union home minister.
