Mutton Paya Ingredients Goat Trotters - 8 no Salt Turmeric powder Chili powder Oil Whole spices - Cinnamon, Cloves & Cardamom Chopped Onion - 3 no Green Chili - 2 no Curry leaves Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp Chopped Tomato - 2 no Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp Water Chopped Coriander leaves Masala paste: Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp Poppy seeds - 1 tsp Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup Water Method: 1.Take well cleaned and washed Goat Trotters in a bowl. 2.Season it with some Salt, 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder and a tsp of Chili powder. 3.Mix it well and let it sit for 10 minutes. 4.To make Masala paste - add 1/2 tsp of Fennel seeds, 1 tsp of Poppy seeds, 1/2 cup of freshly Grated Coconut. 5.Add a little water and grind it to paste. 6.To cook Goat Trotters - take a pressure cooker, add 2 tbsp of Oil, whole spices - Cinnamon, Cloves & Cardamom, 3 med finely Chopped Onion, 2 Slit Green Chili and few Curry leaves. 7.Once Onion starts to brown, add 2 tsp of Ginger Garlic paste and 2 finely Chopped Tomatoes. Saute it well. 8.Once tomatoes are mashed up, add 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder and 2 tsp of Chili powder. 9.Now, add Grounded Coconut masala paste and then add Goat legs and mix it all together. 10.Season it with salt, add 1/2 tsp of Coriander powder, 1/2 tsp of Cumin powder. 11.Now, add 7 cups of Water. Close and cook for 10 to 12 whistles on medium-high flame. 12.Garnish it with Chopped Coriander leaves. Your Mutton Paya is ready. Serve it hot with Appam or Idiyappam.
