Haryana CM Khattar rejects Dalits' conversion claim
New Delhi, Jun 05 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday rejected Dalits' claim of converting to Buddhism. CM Khattar said, "No such incident has come to my knowledge. One person advertised something like this, we looked into it. No religious conversion to Buddhism has taken place here." On June 02 Dalit Leader Dinesh Khapad had claimed that around 100 Dalits in Haryana's Jind converted to Buddhism after sitting on protest for 113 days. They claimed that the state government had failed to fulfill their demands. Khapad had said that Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had assured that their demands will be fulfilled but did not take any action.
