AAI comes up with new procedures for height clearance of buildings nearby airports

New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): To tackle the contentious issues related to the heights of buildings nearby airports, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has upgraded its online NOC Application System (NOCAS) to the latest version 2. A complete online system, the new version is more transparent and can be automated with minimal human intervention. AAI has also come up with colour coded zoning maps for 20 cities with which a developer can easily find out the permissible height in an area and hence, will not require a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the authority. To fasten the process of getting height clearance for mobile towers nearby airports, the website of Standing Advisory Committee on Frequency Allocation( SACFA) and NOCAS 2 software have been integrated. The Urban Local Bodies website of Delhi and Mumbai have also been integrated with NOCAS 2 and now the applicants may apply to ULB to get height clearance for their buildings.
