North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is a military alliance where its member states agree unanimously to mutually defence if any external force combats. The international organization was established In 1949 At Brussels, Belgium. Mainly NATO is a defence treaty and aims at protecting its member countries in union if an external force comes. NATO is regulated and administered by its 26 member states that send delegation to its headquarter in Brussels. NATO has one council called North Atlantic Council (NAC) which meets once a week and approves decisions over all matters in NATO organization. The senior members of NATO are included in NAC and they take decision to work it out. The meets of the NAC are presided by the secretary general of the organization and during the time of taking decision all members unanimously select it. The present chairman of NATO is Giam paolo Di Paolo of Italy who heads the organization. The military operations of NATO are administered by chief of NATO military committee assisted by US commander who are liable to military committee for the over all direction and conduct of the group within the areas of command. NATO has 17 centers of excellence of research, development and assessment bodies whose activities are regulated by allied command transformation.
