Advani set to win Gandhinagar, but with reduced margin

Gandhinagar, May 16 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate L.K. Advani was poised to win the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat by more than 100,000 votes.

 

After four rounds of voting, he was ahead of his nearest Congress rival Suresh Patel by 106,963 votes.

 

 

The BJP veteran, who is set to win the Gandhinagar seat for the fifth consecutive time, is still behind his earlier victory margin of 217,138 votes in the 2004 Lok Sabha polls.
