Sep 23: Music: Monty Sharma, Lyrics: Sameer, Nusrat Badr, Sandeep Nath, Singers: Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala, Shail hada, Alka Yagnik, Parthiv Gohil, Richa Sharma, Shaan.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most awaiting movie Saawariya is set to release on November 09 but its sound tracks have already created a buzz and soaring high with a candid musical exhibit among music lovers and that again amplifies the enthusiasm of audience to wait till that date to re-explore Bhansali’s cinematic excellence on the celluloid.
It’s the director’s mettle and his creative gift that he dares to craft another magical film with newcomers Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor along with a debutant music director Monty Sharma.
As the music is garnering good response, Monty Sharma has certainly given justice to himself by working with director of excellence Bhansali and also the lyricist Sameer who has ever since known for his pen with romantic lexis.
The title track ‘Saawariya’ has already left a sense of musical romance and melodic excellence just like RD Burman age. Even if this type of music is not your cup of tea this album you simply should not miss at least for the shake of your love. The singer Shail hada sang really well to stamp on your mind forever and with the video it certainly leaves a soothing and energising experience.
The whole picturisation of all song symbolise the kind of movie Bhansali wants to make whether it is Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Devdas.
The second track ‘Jab Se Tere Naina’ sang by Shaan is probably the special one that every bad or best album has at least one that makes a state of ringxiety. Well, this is the only song sang by Shaan but with his own typical style that points the reason why every music composer wants to have him in their album.
The next track ‘Masha-Allah’ is a duet by Kunal Ganjawala and Shreya Goshal. This one is for Ganjawala with such a unique voice quality and Shreya’s support further makes it a pleasant one.
The fourth one ‘ Thode Badmash’ reminds you the Devdas fame of Bairi Piya sang by Goshal. The nest one ‘Yoon Shabnami’ is a qawali comes from the tone of newcomer Parthiv Gohil and inked by lyricist Sandeep Nath.
Richa Sharma with her rhythmic high pitching voice really makes a mark in the whole album in ‘ Daras Bina Nahin Chain’ along with Shail hada, Parthiv Gohil. This will give you an experience of a stage performance of any classical dance like Odissi or Bharat Natyam with such musical instruments and background scores.
Ganjawala comes back with another two back to back: ‘Jaan -e- Jaan’ and ‘Pari’ along with Shreya and indeed a charming experience. Sawar Gayi also the one from Ghoshal that though seems a bit repetitive but sounds good.
Melody queen Alka Yagnik with a special track ‘Chhabeela’ brings some kind of change as the whole album except the qawali is a bit slow but if you are not in favour of those fast and furious remix version then a noteworthy musical package i.e. pleasing and enjoyable. So just go to your nearest music world and experience a true mixture of melody with a classical touch until to discover the narrative flow of the film.
