Director Aziz Mirza has finally flipped his cards after a long interval with the release of Kismat Konnection. The film experience a fairly good opening and viewers were able to connect their own Kismat with that of the onscreen and possibly offscreen duo.
The story of the movie is about a guy with the old pet name Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor) whose stars are not in his favour for quite a long time now as it's been post graduation that he is out of job. Despite of being extraordinarily talented and academic topper of his college, he is not able to get the ball in his court.
The disappointed fellow decides to meet a famous clairvoyant Hasina Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla) who is known for her precise oracles and prophecies that he must find a “Lady Luck” for him who will sweep all his troubles out of his life.
And this leads the out-of-spirits young fellow to Priya (Vidya Balan). From here onwards, it is uphill. The lady not only drives away his misfortunes but also becomes a Lady Love for the knight in armour. But, as some odd might is bound to happen in the Bollywood tales, Raj discovers that Priya is already engaged with his fiancee.
Priya is an energetic, high on spirits girl, determined to do what she wants. And she is on a march to save the community centre against the construction of the very mall, the construction project of which is given to Raj. The real story sprouts up from here only.
Though the couple, like most filmi love entangling, the couple exchanges heated words in initial meetings, but soon share a sincere chemistry onscreen. And as the fate ordains, both meet a happy end with all their problems solved.
The movie is all good as a whole. At some places, Shahid seemed to be imitating Shahrukh but his acting is fine. Vidya is natural and impressive as usual in her acts. Thus don't waste time, just go and watch the Kismat Konnection of the Bollywood Divas.
