Shimla, Nov 21 (IANS) Kalpa was the coldest place in Himachal Pradesh Friday, as high altitudes of the state experienced mild snowfall during the past 24 hours, the meteorological office said here.
Rohtang Pass, the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti, experienced 10 cm snowfall, while Dundi of Kullu district received 2 cm snowfall.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district was the coldest place in the state with minus 5.5 degrees Celsius followed by Keylong (minus 4.9), Manali (minus 1.4), Bhuntar (1.5), Sundernagar (2), Shimla (3.3) and Una (4.7 degrees Celsius).
Popular tourist resort Kufri, Hatu peak and Khara Pather of Shimla district, Dhauladhars of Kangra district, Pangi and Tessa ranges of Chamba district and Shrikhand Kailash of Kinnaur are still laden with snow.
