Delhi Police question slain terror suspect's family in Azamgarh

Lucknow, Nov 4 (IANS) A Delhi Police team Tuesday recorded the statements of family members of a suspected terrorist, who was gunned down in a shootout days after the September serial blasts in the national capital.

 

The team questioned the family members at slain youth Sajid's house in Sanjarpur village of Azamgarh.

 

 

'A three-member team of the police came here and recorded the statement of Sajid's father Anvarul Haq and other members of his family,' inspector Kamleshwar Singh of Sarai Meer police station told IANS by phone.

 

 

At least 24 people were killed in the Sep 13 serial blasts following which two terror suspects were killed in a shootout in Jamia Nagar neighbourhood of south Delhi. A police inspector was also killed in the gun battle.
