Imphal, Jan 1 (ANI): Unidentified militants attacked the residence of Manipur's Health Minister, L Jayantakumar Singh, injuring a person in a grenade blast.
Singh, on Saturday told the mediapersons, that the militants threw the grenade, at the time when he was outside campaigning for the forthcoming assembly elections on January 28.
"I got information from my family that somebody, some unknown persons, they threw one bomb and that bomb exploded and damaged a Maruti car belonging to my brother and one of the splinters caused injury to one of our localite," said Singh.
Singh also confirmed that none of the militant organisation had demanded money from him nor the cause of the attack has been determined yet.
The blast caused minor injuries to a woman, standing near the house and also damaged two vehicles parked outside.
The inured woman has been admitted to the nearby hospital. (ANI)
