Ex-royals of Gujarat extend support to Modi's 'Sadbhavna fast'

Rajkot, Dec 26 (ANI): The princes from various royal families on Monday extended their support to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is presently sitting on a daylong 'Sadbhavna fast' for communal amity.

"We all have come here to support and greet Narendra Modi's Sadbhavna Mission, which is aimed at spreading peace, unity, brotherhood," said Mandhatasinh Jadeja, Prince of Rajkot.

Modi's supporters lauded his contributions in the development of Gujarat.

"The whole of Gujarat is very proud that we have a leader such as our honourable Chief Minister Narendra Modi. He has taken Gujarat from height to height. And the main reason for Sadbhavna Mission is to show that this development and this Gujarat moving in right direction is for every community," said another prince.

"The saying in Gujarati is 'for all and with everyone'. So, we are very happy and we are very proud that we have strong a Chief Minister such as ours who is taking Gujarat to new heights," he added.

The fast is seen as a bid by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to launch Narendra Modi as a national leader of the party. (ANI)
