Militants abduct 15 soldiers in Frontier Corps base attack in Pakistan

Islamabad, Dec 23(ANI): A soldier was killed and two civilians wounded when militants attacked a paramilitary base in Mulazai in Tank district in Pakistan on Friday.


The attackers also abducted 15 other soldiers from the camp, The Dawn reports.


Pakistan security officials said the militants targeted the Frontier Corps (FC) base during the early hours following which a contingent of paramilitary troops and armed forces launched a search operation at the concerned location.


Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Commander Asmatullah Shaheen Bhitani confirmed that the group had abducted 15 soldiers, who were currently being held as captives.


He also claimed to possess Pakistan's army vehicle, soldiers' weapons and a wireless set. (ANI)
