New Delhi, Dec 19 (ANI): Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Ajit Singh assumed the charge of Ministry of Civil Aviation, as Cabinet Minister here today.
Earlier, he was the Union Cabinet Minister, Industry in 1989, Union Cabinet Minister of Food in 1995 and Union Cabinet Minister of Agriculture in 2001.
Born on 12 February 1939 at Bhadola, Distt. Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), Ajit Singh first time elected to Rajya Sabha in 1986 and elected to 9th Lok Sabha in 1989.
He is B.Sc., B. Tech. and M.S. He was educated at Lucknow University, I.I.T. Kharagpur and Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago (U.S.A.). (ANI)
