Agartala, Dec 10 (ANI): A four-day art exhibition titled, "Bangladesh Muktijuddho: chollish Bochhor" was organized in Tripura to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence.

Twelve artists from Bangladesh exhibited a collection of 30 paintings during the event.

The paintings depicted traditional life in Bangladesh with modern verve and style, with some of the paintings reviving memories of the freedom struggle.

Such events provided people of both countries an opportunity to come closer and understand each other better.

"There may be ups and downs at the diplomatic level between Bangladesh and India but art and culture bring people closer by increasing people to people contact and bridging the differences," said Qayyum Chaudhary, an artist from Bangladesh.

The exhibition was a result of the joint effort of artists from both sides. (ANI)
