Bangalore court to hear Jayalalithaa's disproportionate assets case

Bangalore, Tue, 08 Nov 2011 ANI

Bangalore, Nov.8 (ANI): A special court in Bangalore is to resume hearing in the 66 crore disproportionate assets case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Tuesday.

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) chief is expected to skip court appearance and move an application before the court seeking postponing of the hearing to a later date.

With the Tamil Nadu CM answering less than half of the over 1300 questions prepared for her in her last two court appearances and with almost 500 more yet to be answered, all eyes will be on whether Jayalalithaa will seek a later date of her convenience for her next court appearance, and if she does, will the court give her that relief in a case that has dragged on for 15 years.
