Ahmedabad, Sat, 05 Nov 2011 ANI

Ahmedabad, Nov.5 (ANI): A Right To Information (RTI) activist, who was actively involved in exposing illegal slaughter houses in Gujarat, was killed in Ahmedabad's Juhupura area on Saturday.

Nadeem Saiyed was attacked by some unidentified people at around 7.45 a.m. this morning and died on the spot.

Saiyed was also a key witness in the Naroda Patiya case. He exposed some people who were allegedly involved in tampering of evidence.

The reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained, but it is believed that various public interest ligations filed in the Gujarat High Court may have been the reason behind killing.

Ahmedabad Police have launched manhunt for the killers. (ANI)
