Two smugglers arrested in Lucknow while trying to sell banned leopard skin

Lucknow, Nov 2 (ANI): Police personnel in Lucknow arrested two smugglers along with leopard skin on Tuesday.

 

The duo, Mani Pushpa Aggarwal and his friend Avleen Singh are both residents of Moradabad.

 

Police said the accused were travelling in a four-wheeler at the time they were arrested.

 

The two persons had come to Lucknow to sell the leopard skin to an unknown person. Mani said that he had met someone by the name of Sharma, who had finalised the deal for 50 lakh.

 

The police team had been tipped off about the smugglers.

 

"The Aliganj police station has done good work," said Nitin Tiwari, Superintendent of Police, Aliganj. (ANI)
