Eleven wounded in Peshawar market bomb blast

Peshawar, Oct 27(ANI): At least eleven people have been wounded in a bomb explosion in a busy market in Pakistan's Peshawar city, according to police.

 

The bomb was packed in an oil canister and placed outside a grocery shop in the city's popular Rampura Market, the Dawn quoted local police officer Javed Khan, as saying.

 

Another police officer, Shafqat Malik, said that three of the injured are in serious condition.

 

He said the bomb contained about three kilograms of explosives and damaged two shops and one vehicle parked nearby in the Thursday incident.

 

Local TV footage showed damaged shops with pieces of metal and wood littering the ground. (ANI)
