Three CRPF personnel injured in Srinagar grenade attacks

Srinagar, Oct 25 (ANI): Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured in two back-to-back grenade attacks here on Tuesday.

 

The first grenade reportedly exploded near a CRPF bunker in Lal Chowk area here. The second attack took place at a police post in Batmaloo area of the city.

 

One person has been detained in Batmaloo for questioning in connection with the grenade attacks.

 

The attacks comes days after Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced plans to withdraw the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and the Disturbed Areas Act (DAA) from some areas of the state. (ANI)
