Raja Sansi Airport (Amritsar), Sep 11 (ANI): The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on Sunday recovered live bullets from the possession of world renowned Sufi Singers 'Wadali brothers' at the security check area in the premises of Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport at Amritsar.

Puran Chand Wadali (Padma Shri) and his brother Pyarelal Wadali were bound to Delhi on JetLite S2 0632 at 9.40 a.m. from Amritsar.

The 14 live bullets of licensed pistol of Pyarelal Wadali were kept in a bag to be hand carried inside the plane. The bullets for 32-bore revolver were detected during security check before boarding the plane.

The CISF personnel recovered the bullets and later allowed the Wadali brothers to go to Delhi.

Wadali brothers, however, said that the bullets were accidentally carried in the bag, whereas the revolver was kept at home.

Amritsar's International Airport is notably considered to be one of the hypersensitive airports of the country as far security is concerned. y Ravinder Singh Robin (ANI)
