Youth Akali Dal restructures body, to tap 65 percent of Punjab youth

Amritsar, Aug.17 (ANI): The Youth Akali Dal (YAD) on Wednesday announced a restructure of its organisation to include new office bearers.

 

While announcing the names of new office bearers of YAD, its president, Bikramjit Singh Majithia, said the new body comprises of youth who are not only reliable but are also brimming with confidence in spreading and implementing the party policies among the youth.

 

"These young leaders are not only capable of strengthening the party but will also wage a war against prevalent social evils which are eroding the basic structure of our society," Majithia said.

 

He said YAD would unleash a new era of struggle for social causes as youth comprises of 65 percent of the state's population.

 

He said the list was prepared in consultation with Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.

 

"We have set an example of social balancing by accommodating and giving representation to loyal and dedicated party workers from all fields and sections of life" Majithia said.

 

The first list includes the names of senior vice president, general secretary, additional general secretaries, vice-president, district president, advisor, treasurer and media advisor, he said, adding that the second list would be released soon. By Ravinder Singh Robin (ANI)
