Maoists release 11 abducted people in Bihar

Patna/Munger, July 3 (ANI): Bihar Police on Sunday informed that the Maoists have released all the 11 people kidnapped from Kareili village in Munger district.

 

According to Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Neelmani: "The abducted people were released in Basraha-Chormara jungle near the village, when they were closely tracked by the security men, led by Superintendent of Police, Munger, P Kannan yesterday."

 

Meanwhile, a combing operation is on to nab the ultras who shot dead six people including two special police officers and abducted 11 villagers after an encounter with police in Munger district of the state on Saturday morning.

 

The Maoists, who were equipped with sophisticated weapons attacked village Karaili under Dharhara police station around 5 a.m. on Saturday. (ANI)
