According to the Dawn, the suspects were arrested when the police conducted a raid in Makkah Colony on a tip-off from security agencies.

The three men belong to Waziristan, and are reported to be members of the banned organization Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Two pistols were also recovered from the suspects.

The TTP is an umbrella organization of various Islamist militant groups based in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas along the Afghan border in Pakistan.
