As reported earlier, Huawei is geared up to launch its newest flagship - the Honor 8 in the Indian market. Buzz has it that the Honor 8 will be launched at a grand event in Goa, held on September 28. Chinese smartphone maker Huawei wants the launch to happen amidst much fanfare and this is why it has planned for such a great event.

Once the device is launched on the proposed date it would soon be available for purchase in India. It is to be noted that Honor 8 was first launched in China in the beginning of 2016. And it is expected that the device will have the same features and there won't be any change made for its release in the Indian smartphone market. The device is boasted to be one of the best among the budget device category. Let us have a look as to what makes this device unique and a show stealer.

Honor 8 Price

The Chinese company has kept the price a mystery for all to think over. In China, the device was released in three variants; one model with 3GB+32GB was sold for ¥1,999, other with 4GB+32GB was made available for ¥2,299; while the other variant with 4GB+64GB was sold for ¥2,499. Considering the same for the Indian market also, we can predict that the price would start from Rs. 20,000 for the base model while the premium one will go near to Rs. 25,000.

At this price, it will be a tough competitor for more popular LeEco Le Max 2, OnePlus 3, and the Xiaomi Mi 5.

You have already seen that Honor 8 varies in model in terms of storage capacity. Other than that, the device is said to have 5.2-inch Full HD display which has 2.5D curved glass. It brings in dual main cameras which are backed by 12MP sensor. The camera has other features too inclusive of Laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, and f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, Honor 8 offers you 8MP front camera which has f/2.4 aperture.

As for processor, the Huawei Honor 8 is backed by the 64-bit 2.3GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor along with the Mali T880 MP4 GPU. The device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery and it runs the Android 6.0 Marshmallow base Emoticon EMUI 4.1.

It's a dual SIM smartphone which also provides expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot. The device extends its support to 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port and also boasts of a fingerprint scanner located at the back.

Buzz has it that the exact price would only be out once Huawei releases its Honor 8 at the event.
