The wait is finally over for Xperia C4 series owners, as the device has at last got the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. Reports have stated that the new upgrade is available to Xperia's C4 and C4 dual models via OTA (Over-The-Air) update.
It is indeed a great piece of news for all the Xperia C4 owners, as they will now get to experience the new update with ease. It is notable that Sony had talked about its eligible handsets for the Android Marshmallow update in October 2015. And it is almost after a year gap that the update is finally coming.
The update started rolling out with the Xperia Z flagship in March 2016. Later it was updated to Xperia M. And after a long wait of several months, Sony has unveiled the updates carrying build numbers as '27.3.A.0.122' which cater to Sony's mid-budget handsets Xperia C4 (E5303 & E5306) and '27.3.B.0.122' which is set for C4 Dual (E5333 & E5343).
Reports further state that Sony is supposed to organize the update to two other C4 series variants, namely the E5353 and E5363; but this would take some more time.

For the uninitiated, Android 6.0 Marshmallow carries an inclined and quicker Chrome browser, more spontaneous Now on Tap facet, new safety facet confirmed boot system, hold for international dialects, new appropriate support feature, Google photos in addition to auto back-up which will allow the data of app users to be involuntarily be stored in Google Drive, the data must be less than 25MB.

Installing the OTA Update On Your Sony Xperia C4 Device
To get the OTA update on your C4 device, you will have to follow the given steps:
1. Go to the device's home screen and go to Settings
2. Now come to the ‘System' section and select About device
3. Select Download updates manually.
4. Select OK.
5. Select Start.
The update is fully on roll and soon Sony will update it in its other devices as well. So far it has hinted about the E series getting the next Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. It is to be seen as to when the device will get this update, and which will be the other ones to get this software upgrade.
