Protesting against the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) of the Delhi University, the NSUI has initiated an indefinite hunger strike at Arts Faculty, North Campus. The FYUP programme, which was started last year amid high controversy, has been highly criticised both by teachers as well as students since its inception. Despite the massive opposition, the University admisnistration has remained adamant on its stand, giving further evidence of the Vice Chancellor Prof Dinesh Singhs authoritarian ways. All requests and protests by students and teachers groups has fallen on deaf ears.

Hence, the NSUI leaders, Karishma Thakur, DUSU Secretary ,Vikash Chikara, NSUI Delhi State President , Varun Khari Ex- VP DUSU, Vishal Chaudhary Ex DUSU President Candidate .And The Protest led By Mohit Sharma NSUI Nationa Gen Sec. and Delhi State In-charge have decided to go for an indefinite hunger strike beginning from Friday. The strike will continue till the university admisnitration rolls back the program. If the University refuses to pay heed to our strike, it is going to attain massive proportion as hundreds of students and other organisations are willing to be a part of it. We request the media also to support our movement.
