The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) will organize three days Free Career Guidance Fair 2014 from June 6 to 8, at Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall in Gurdwara Rakab Gunj Sahib, New Delhi. The president of DSGMC Mr. Manjit Singh G.K. informed this.
Last year's, 'mission excellence' program launched by DSGMC has helped 500 students of class twelth of Guru Harkishan Singh Public Schools secure more than 90% marks and the career guidance program would further help become successful and achieve goals of their lives.
"The fair would provide high quality counseling to the students studying in class ninth, tenth and twelth to guide them about various skill oriented courses, and the vocational studies mainly for the students who are unable to get admission in prestigious engineering, and medical colleges and information technology (IT) institutes and are unable to pay high being charged by the prestigious educations institutes," said Mr. G.K.
The parents and students particularly belonging to minority communities will also be made aware about the soft loan opportunities available from various central government institutions and other organizations on lower interest rates for various academic courses. Around 20,000 students and their parents are expected to attend three days fair to seek counseling for improved courses selection from renowned education experts.
This is the second such fair being organized by DSGMC, and the Fair organized last year was attended by around 8,000 students. About 30 prestigious education institutes from National Capital Region including Delhi University, Guru Gobind Singh Indrapratha University, Guru Nanak Dev University, Mysore University, Mewar University, Eternal University-Baru Sahib, Lovely Professional University, Pearls Academy, Amity University , Ansals University, and Goenka University will participate in the fair and counselors of these institutions will guide and help the students regarding various career options available to choose the suitable and employable courses keeping in view their talent, academic capability and interests.
