CBSE revised 12 board examinations due to Lok Sabha Poll

However election commission claimed that the final date for the Lok Sasbha election were scheduled and prepared in such a way those examinations and other dates don’t clash with each other. Now it has been said that Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will revised the class 12 board examination dates for some subjects due to the Lok Sbha polls.

According to sources, Examinations for language Urdu - elective and core - along with vocal, instrument melodic and instrument percussion of both Hindustani and Carnatic music will now be held April 25 instead of April 9 as scheduled earlier, the CBSE said.

Sociology, graphic designs, DTP cad and multimedia and business processes outsourcing skills exams will take place April 21 instead of April 10, it said.

CBSE sources says that similarly, philosophy, entrepreneurship, office procedure and practices, cash management and housekeeping, communication and health nursing II, library administration and management, computer and life insurance administration, basic concept of health and diseases and medical terminology, midwifery, food services-II, geospatial technology, post-harvest technology and preservation have been shifted from April 12 to April 19, it said.

The new date for agriculture, creative writing and translation studies, painting, graphics, sculpture, and applied art-commercial art exams is April 22 instead of April 17, the CBSE said.

"In view of the schedule published by the Election Commission for the General Elections, 2014 the examinations for the senior school certificate have been postponed and will be now held on the revised dates," said a statement issued by the board.
