There has been a lot of talk and chatter since the day Warner Bros announced a sequel to Man of Steel featuring two Super Heroes- Batman and Superman.
The new addition to the chatter is the antagonist of the movie, Lex Luther, which will be played by Jesse Eisenberg (Social Network fame).
In the comics, Lex Luther has been characterized as the main villain of Superman having the with and money. Lex uses all his strength to kill Superman so that he can unveil his mad villainous plan to rule earth.
In previous Superman movies Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey had played the character of Lex Luther.
Though he has been the main rival of Superman but since Batman also exists in the same universe, he also comes in contact with him as well. It will be interesting to see how director Zack Snyder will bring this character to life.
In the untitled sequel of 'Man of Steel', Jeremy Irons has been cast in the role of Alfred, the butler of batman.
Besides these two, Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman while Ben Affleck has been roped in as Batman. Casting of Affleck caused must stir among Batman fans with some signing an online petition to remove Affleck from the film.
Batman will be a step ahead of The Dark Knight franchise though no direct connections will be shown.
Gal Gadot (of Fast and Furious fame) will play the role of Wonder Woman.
Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their role from Man of Steel.
There is much expectation with Director Zack Snyder’s sci-fi movie, whose release date has been revised to May 6, 2016 from July 2015.
