Since its inception in the year 2002, Delhi Metro has become the lifeline of people living in Delhi; it is now a part of their everyday life. However, for all the right reasons you may find the metro train over crowded during summer, nevertheless it is the best mode of transportation in the national capital.

Delhi metro which is fully air-conditioned is certainly the most comfortable way to commute to any part of the city by almost everyone, be it the daily-wage labourers, government servants or people who work in private companies in the nearby satellite cities.

Nevertheless, with world class facilities and services, Delhi Metro has been one of the best metro rail systems in the world. Its maintenance and management in terms of giving access to millions of commuters with all modern facilities is truly praiseworthy.

Interestingly, the construction process is still going on in many parts of the city to link almost all major points in the city map. This is certainly essential to make the city traffic wise very safety and less congested considering the increasing population with the migration of people from other states across the country.

In order to make Delhi Metro less congested and its operation smooth during peak hours, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced eight-coach trains in addition to those four and six coach cars.

Besides, at some important stations smart-card or metro travel card recharge vending machines have been installed in order to make it easy for passengers who don’t have to stand in queue for long, and also to avoid excess manpower in running the corporation.

Today, in the scorching heat if you want to travel to any part of the city, you would still consider metro rail even if it doesn’t connect to that particular area directly. You may have to take an auto or metro feeder bus to your place from the station, but the joy of travelling in Delhi metro is nothing but a true delight.
