Based on S Hussain Zaidi's book Dongri to Dubai, Sanjay Gupta directorial action thriller 'Shootout at Wadala' has hit the cinema hall this Friday and have got an overwhelming response from the audiences. With a big star cast featuring Anil Kapoor, John Abraham,, Tusshar, Kangana Ranaut, Manoj Bajpayee, Sonu Sood, Ronit Roy, Mahesh Manjerekar, Shootout at Wadala is one of the biggest release of the year.
Shootout at Wadala portrays the first registered encounter done by Mumbai Police in 1992. The story of Shootout at Wadala is the story of Manya Surve (John Abraham), who is a happy college going guy but gets life term imprisonment for a crime not committed by him. Manya along with his fellow prisoner Sheikh Munir (Tusshar) escapes from the jail and creates his own gang and challenges the biggies of underworld Dilawar Imtiyaz Haskar (Sonu Sood) and his brother Zubair Imtiyaz Haskar (Manoj Bajpayee) who are cruel, brutal and merciless Mumbai mafias. But with the increasing power of Manya, he becomes threat to the police ACP Ishaque Bagwan (Anil Kapoor) as well as for Dilawar and Haskar. Now both Dilawar and Zubair desperately want Manya to die, while ACP Ishaque Bagwan shares the same intention.
John Abraham is excellent as Manya Surve and the character will certainly give John a new recognition as an actor. Anil Kapoor has once again proved that he can do justice to any character he plays. As ACP Ishaque Bagwan , Anil has portrayed the character of daring cop who desperately wants to swipe out Mumbai mafias from the city. Manoj Bajpayee as Zubair Imtiyaz Haskar is again wonderful as ever. Sonu Sood is a real surprise package as Dawood Ibrahim and quite impressive. Tusshar utilizes his experience of Shootout at Lokhandwala is really good and improved to watch.
The film shows you lots of firing, guns, bombs, brutal murders and action sequences that will certainly thrill you to you are expecting for the same.
So, watch out Shootout at Wadala for some superb acting and action and especially for John Abraham and Anil Kapoor.
